On 27 March 2019, the twelfth Adaptation to Technical Progress (ATP12) to CLP was published in the EU Official journal. The 12th ATP implements the 6th and 7th amendments of the Globally harmonised system of classification and labelling of chemicals.
Here’s the summary of the changes made available since version 19.2 of our SDS Authoring tool, ExESS:
o Update of H, P and EUH statements.
o New classifications for flammable gases and desensitized explosives.
o New generic concentration limit for pyrophoric gases.
o Review of the physico-chemical hazard questionnaires.
o Modification of the concentration limits for elicitation for EUH 208 and EUH 210.
o New precedence rules for P statements.
The application deadline — set on 17 October 2020 — is only a month away! It is now more than high time to make the necessary adaptations.
